Human
No gifts. Just daylight, numbers, and the fact that everything hunting you still needs you alive. Vervain keeps your mind your own.
Waxing gibbous — 4 nights until the change
Vampires, werewolves and witches share one small town. Most people who live there never find out.

What you become is not up to you
You start human. Everyone does. What happens after that depends on who finds you, what you're carrying, and what you're willing to do.
No gifts. Just daylight, numbers, and the fact that everything hunting you still needs you alive. Vervain keeps your mind your own.
You have to die to become one, then feed within the hour or die properly. Sunlight burns. A stake is final. Your own humanity is the harder problem.
The curse waits, sometimes for a lifetime. It wakes the first time you take a life — which means every wolf became one by killing someone.
No fangs, no claws. Just the ability to stop a vampire's heart from across a room. Take more power than you're owed and the balance collects.
Abilities
You use them with your hands and your body, out in the open where people can see you do it. That's usually the hard part.
Crouch, get close, and hold their gaze — they have to be looking back. Anyone standing nearby sees it happen. If they carry vervain, nothing happens at all.
Crouch under a night sky and look straight up. The howl carries about a hundred blocks, so everyone knows roughly where you are. On a full moon you don't get a choice about any of it.
Raise your wand to the sky to heal. Kneel and touch the earth to raise a boundary. Point at someone while crouched and they will wish you hadn't.
You claim land by planting a totem, and it stands there glowing in your colours. Anyone can walk up and break it. Then the land is theirs.
Cut it down and the Original Witch loses her power for good. You walk away with the only wood that kills a vampire permanently. It takes a while, and it is very loud.
What you learn comes as books you carry. Hide them, trade them, or lose them when you die. Plenty of people have taken one off a body.
Three titles, one holder each, ever
Everything in this world traces back to three people who decided the rules didn't apply to them. Each title is claimed once. Whoever takes one shapes the world for everyone who joins afterward.
the Unburied
He drank an immortality elixir meant for his wedding — with someone else. Three times the ground has been made to take him. Three times it gave him back.
the Ash-Mother
She lost a child to wolves and rewrote the oldest spell in the world so it couldn't happen again. Every vampire alive is what rose from that fire.
of the Seven Knives
Seven tribes decided she was too powerful to grow up. Seven knives went in. Seven bloodlines came back out.
Ashfall
The Kettle, where nobody swings first. St. Ansel's Ruin, where they burned witches and the stone still remembers. Wicker Bridge, where more people have drowned than the river accounts for. Eleven places, and every one of them changes what you can do while you're standing in it.
Start
That's the point. Whether you stay that way is up to who you meet.
